Akeley is a very popular village providing a good junior school and the well known Akeley Wood Preparatory School. It also boasts a fine village pub and is situated just two miles north of the historic, university town of Buckingham with its magnificent stone Goal and central conservation area. It also provides good local shopping and schooling for all ages including the Royal Latin Grammar School. Bletchley and Milton Keynes both provide a regular rail service to Euston (approx 50 mins) with Milton Keynes having a renowned shopping centre, comprehensive recreational facilities and access to the M1 motorway.
