Coombs is a small hamlet situated approximately a mile and a half north-east of the picturesque village of Padbury. Padbury features many thatched and stone properties as well as two public houses, garage with General Stores, a well respected traditional Butchers Shop and a lower school. Other local centres nearby include the market towns of Winslow and Buckingham. Winslow provides a variety of shops as well as a combined school whilst Buckingham offers more extensive shopping and recreational facilities as well as a secondary school and The Royal Latin Grammar School. The City of Milton Keynes is situated approximately ten miles away and offers one of the largest shopping precincts in Europe as well as a main line rail station providing a fast and regular service to London (Euston) and the North.
