Linslade is a large, distinct residential area which now forms part of Leighton Buzzard. It has excellent schools and is the main catchment area for the well regarded Cedars Upper School. The main line railway station is easily accessed from most of Linslade which is also close to the A505 bypass leading to Milton Keynes and the A5.
The market town of Leighton Buzzard, with its late Georgian High Street, provides a variety of traditional family owned local shops together with supermarkets, twice-weekly market and DIY store catering for most needs. There is a lending library with attached Arts Centre, local leisure centre at Tiddenfoot providing two swimming pools, fitness/health complex, outdoor and indoor sports courts as well as an indoor sports arena. The mainline railway station at nearby Linslade provides services to commute to London Euston and the North. Leighton Buzzard is well situated for road communications with Junction 12 Toddington some seven miles distant, the M25 is available at its junction with the A41 at Watford and the M40 at Oxford. More extensive leisure, shopping and entertainment facilities can be found some ten miles distant in Central Milton Keynes including a multi screen cinema, night clubs, bars, restaurants, bowling alley, Theatre District, Indoor Ski Dome and one of the largest undercover shopping centres in the UK. Luton International Airport is approximately 14 miles away.
